the Rationale
Scientifically Sound is an online publication that bridges the gap between scientists and the public. It is often difficult to sift through the barrage of media coverage on nutrition and health. The conclusions made in the lab are often over interpreted or twisted to be more flashy and eye catching, letting the real truth of the findings fall to the wayside. Without advanced training in the sciences, original research articles are laborious to read and largely inaccessible to the general public. Here you will find the most up to date, primary research being done in the field translated into language that is manageable and easy to understand. The aim of Scientifically Sound is not to sell you on the latest diet trend or promise a cure for all maladies. It is simply to provide you, the consumer, with the knowledge and power to decide for yourself.
The articles represented here cover a wide range of topics related to nutrition and its implications for disease. Topics range from the intricacies of cellular function to the nuance of behavior change. There is something of interest for everyone, regardless of primary discipline. The content of this publication is designed to best serve you. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.
